Cheers to a Cool Yule

Christmas is kind of our thing – with our first ever gin being distilled with frankincense and myrrh, we know how to blend a festive one!

This year Ryan has taken his inspiration from Stollen. A fruity bread with warming spices, candied fruits and powdered sugar. Yuuum.

Ryan says…

Cool Yule Gin is full of Christmas spices such as cloves, cardamom and cinnamon, blended with sweet and zingy candied citrus fruits. With rich cranberry and citrus fruits on the nose and luscious, seasonal spices on the palate, this gin has an abundance of festive flavours.

PERFECT SERVE

Serve over ice with spiced orange ginger ale and garnish with star anise.

YULETIDE MARTINI

50ml Cool Yule Gin
25ml cherry brandy
15ml dried fruit syrup
Ice

For the dried fruit syrup
50g dark brown soft sugar
50g mixed dried fruit
Cinnamon stick

To make the syrup, tip the ingredients into a pan with 50ml water and simmer over a medium heat for one minute. Remove from the heat and leave to infuse until the mixture has cooled to room temperature. Strain and discard the fruit and cinnamon stick. (Leftovers will keep, chilled for three days.).

Pour the gin, cherry brandy and syrup into a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice. Shake until the outside of the shaker feels very cold, then strain into a chilled martini glass.
