Aggie’s Shack Gin is inspired by our Innovations Club member, Glenn, and hisadventures in Goa. From his selection of exoticfruit and spices we developed this month’s winning recipe. Ginavit is our take our take on the Scandinavian spirit Aquavit, with added juniper transforming the traditional recipe into a gin. Ginavit is distilled with classic aquavit botanicals dill and caraway, balanced with fennel, anise, citrus and juniper. The result is refreshing citrus on the pallet, giving way to a savoury profile with a full-bodied juniper finish. ABV 40%.
Distilled in collaboration with Samara Gin, Cloud Forest uses Costa Rican botanicals. Banana leaf and annatto seeds are balanced with Batch favourites orange peel and cardamom, creating a savoury, slightly spicy and aromatic gin. ABV 40%.
Cat’s Paw Gin is inspired by traditional Old Tom recipes dating back to the 18th century. Distilled with 14 botanicals it balances spices such ascardamom and cloves with a sweet lemon, ginger and honey syrup. Sweet and peppery on the nose, while on the palette, sweet notes give way to a smooth, liquorice finish. ABV 37.5%
Caribbean white rum is aged in a barrel with fresh lemon, vanilla pods and oats. Inspired by Junior Distiller Ryan’s days of coming home to bags of Farmhouse’s broken lemon biscuits, this rum has sweet lemon notes with a creamy finish.
Back with a new look for 2021, the Year of the Ox. Buddha’s Hand Gin is an exploration of Chinese botanicals including Buddha’s Hand – a citrus fruit, pomelo and Sichuan pepper. A truly unique, delicious and refreshing gin.
Taking all the incredible flavours of our multi-award winning Industrial Strength Gin we have crafted this moreish, contemporary London dry gin with a more approachable strength. A beautifully balanced profile featuring delicate citrus leading to a bold and punchy juniper finish.
During 2020 we sent an extra special bottle of Innovations out each month, to our “Member of the Month”. For December we decided to reward all of our loyal members with a bottle of Christmas Gin personalised with their name. The gin is a twist on Batch Signature with slightly emphasised orange peel.
Inspired by the recent isolation rules and the stark familiarity to the Stephen king classic – The Shining, Ollie wanted to produce a “Red Rum”… but what would that be? He posed a question to the team: What flavour is red? Red ice pops, red fizzy drinks, a somewhat ambiguous flavour.
Rum subtly spiced with mince pie ingredients.
The unusual addition of beetroot during distillation gives Beet of a Different Drum an earthy backbone that complements the sweeter botanicals, which include pear and mandarin. The result is a contemporary dry gin with gentle earthy notes and a subtle sweet finish.
Distilled in the shadows of Pendle Hill, shrouded in mystery and tales of witchcraft. Peddler’s Pins Gin is inspired by a curse at the centre of England’s most infamous witch trials. Hand crafted with herbs locally available to the Pendle Witches and renowned for their healing properties. Waves of delicate sour cherry give way to a herby profile with peppery juniper and a subtle sweetness.
Garam Masala Gin is an exploration of Indian ingredients. A blend of spices includingtamarind, fenugreek and bay leaf are combinedwith traditional botanicals. Subtle heat and sweetness are balanced with gentle warmth and spice, resulting in depth and complexity.
Crafted with Citra hops as recommended by Moorhouse’s Brewery in Burnley. This botanical blend is packed full of bright and refreshing ingredients such as lemon myrtle, sun dried mango and cardamom, resulting in citrus notes with gentle spice and a sweet finish.
Batch Gin Rummy has a sugarcane base spirit, distilled with gin botanicals. It is then aged in a barrel wepreviously used for ageing our Totally Tropical rum. With a multi-tiered flavour profile, this complex spirit is a nod to our adventurous and innovative nature. Will you serve this as a rum with cola, or as a classic gin and tonic? The decision is yours.
This winning recipe is inspired by our Innovations Club member, Anna. She chose the botanicals olive,oregano and tomato for us to work with.We have taken these and balanced them with other ingredients such as lemon, peppers and orangeto craft a herbaceous, savoury gin.
Distilled and compounded withbotanicals from the rose family includingraspberry, pear, strawberry and rose petals, Don’t Bottle It Up symbolises love and compassion. Having a sensible drink with friends and opening up in a safe place has allowed the Batch team to talk about our own mental health.
Zheng Lun Botanical Blend is packed full of exotic, juicy fruits. Sweet and refreshing notes of passion fruit, guava and lychee are balanced with popped lotus seed and aromatic Sichuan pepper. This is the second product from Batch’s Junior Distiller, following the release of Apprentice’s Vodka.
Tagine is a Moroccan inspired gin, distilled with a blend of spices including cumin, ginger, sumac and cinnamon. The flavours are balanced with sweet medjool dates, apricot and sharp lemon. Packed full of flavour, the vibrant colour comes from compounding with saffron.
Batch Banana Cake Rum is rich, sweet and vibrant. Caribbean white rum is barrel-aged and infused with banana, dates and walnuts. Inspired by indulgent, sticky banana cake, this rum has luxurious caramel notes and a creamy banana finish.
Ch-ch-ch-ch Changes is a fun and fruity botanical blend. It combines vibrant flavours such as apricot, lemon and raspberries. Bursting with berry notes, we recommend serving this botanical blend with Mediterranean tonic and watch as the colour changes.
Batch Christmas Gin is distilled with frankincense and myrrh, and filled with edible gold. Shake to reveal a sparkly snow globe. This gin has an abundance of festive flavours including warming nutmeg, sweet cinnamon and earthy pine. Garnish with orange and cinnamon stick.
A berry local to Lancashire, the whinberry takes centre stage in this gin. Steeped in Batch Signature Gin with a minimum of sugar, and aged in a former Cognac barrel, this is not what you’d expect from a typical sloe. A complex spirit which balances well with ginger ale, or splashed in prosecco.
Buddha’s Hand Gin is inspired by classic Chinese flavours including sichuan pepper, star anise, ginger and chrysanthemum. Botanicals such as Buddha’s hand and pomelo result in delicate, citrus notes on the nose, and a subtly spiced finish. Combined with more traditional botanicals this is a remarkable, well-balanced gin.
A throwback to the days when our Head Distiller would ask his shopkeeper for ‘a quarter of’, this blackcurrant and liquorice gin transforms one of his favourite childhood flavours into an adult treat! Notes of sharp blackcurrant and sweet black liquorice.
Inspired by our travels, this rum has been barrel aged in a PX Sherry cask, purchased on a family holiday to Córdoba. A full bodied golden rum with notes of rich, dried fruits. Bold and oaky with notes of creamy toffee.
A Thai twist on the signature Batch recipe introduces botanicals such as lime leaf, galangal and jasmine. With a fresh, powerful aroma and intense citrus notes on the palate, this gin was inspired by our love for Thai food and its vibrant flavours. A citrus burst and lingering sweetness make this gin refreshing and moreish.
Paying homage to the days when Batch was produced in the basement of our Distiller’s house, this gin is inspired by Shih Tzu, Lo Pan. The distillery dog would scratch at the floorboards from above to notify his master that the gin was ready. A contemporary London Dry Gin.
Ginception Gin is a collaboration between Batch’s Head Distiller and Ginception Bar. Given a brief of ‘summer’, our distiller has created a juniper forward gin with notes of juicy peach. Pair with elderflower tonic and garnish with peach, raspberry and a sprig of rosemary.
This is a bold and vibrant spirit, packed full of citrus flavours. A combination of 15 carefully balanced botanicals produce a rich and smooth gin with blood orange and red grapefruit notes. Distilled by Batch for a client, this was an exclusive release to Innovations Club members.
Distilled by us at Batch HQ but exported to China, this is the first time Long Yin Gin has been available in the UK – exclusively to our members. A range of Chinese botanicals are balanced with juniper to deliver a refreshing, sweet G&T.
Batch Apple and Honey Gin was originally created for Rosh Hashanah. Our Head Distiller was inspired by the tradition of dipping apples in honey and used these flavours to produce a sweet, mellow gin. This was the first collaboration in the Innovations Club collection.
USA Breakfast Rum is barrel-aged. Inspired by classic American breakfast pancakes, it is spiced with maple syrup, pecan nuts and blueberries. This results in a sweet, rich spirit.
A twist on our Pendleside Pear and Cinnamon edition, this ginis distilled and compounded with pear and blackberries. The addition of ginger and cinnamon syrup results in an abundance of festive flavours. This gin is sweet, fruity and subtly spiced.
Raspberry Vodka a fruity botanical blend, combining apricot, thyme, cranberries, lemon and of course, raspberries. The flavours are balanced to deliver a sweet, berry spirit. Pour in a Mediterranean tonic and watch it change.
Double, double this gin spells trouble. Fire up the stills and let them bubble! Flesh of lime, skin of lemon. Will this potion be your venom? Finger of citron, head of rose. You will still get juniper on the nose. Guts of pumpkin, tears of Satan. The White Lady of Towneley will awaken.
Batch Gin Rummy is a cask-aged spirit, made by ageing Batch Gin in the same barrels used for Innovations release #3 – Batch Sherry Cask Rum. With an unusual flavour profile, this complex spirit is a nod to our playful and experimental nature.
Hop Vodka is a unusual combination of Sorachi Ace hops and botanicals such as dill, orange and lemongrass. This is a savoury, citrus vodka and was a collaboration between our Head Distiller and Northern Whisper Brewing Co. Best paired with lemon tonic, or used in a Bloody Mary.
Jasmine Tea is a subtle, floral gin. With an abundance of summer blossoms on the nose, this deliciously fragrant gin has a soft, lingering sweetness. Botanicals including rose, yerba mate, matcha and jasmine make this gin a perfect pair with elderflower tonic or a floral lemonade.
The first of its kind: Absinthe Gin balances the classic flavour of the Green Fairy with juniper. Distilled with wormwood, hyssop, anise and fennel, on the nose this is a savoury gin with hints of coriander. On the palate it gives way to a sweet yet herbaceous profile.
A fruity vodka distilled with apple, raspberry, blueberry and vanilla, this Innovation is the Batch Apprentice’s takeover! Created under the watchful eye of our Head Distiller, this vodka is extremely smooth and showcases an up and coming talent! Best paired with sweet vodka based cocktails or Mediterranean tonic.
This golden rum has been barrel-aged in a PX Sherry Cask, resulting in a subtle sweetness and a smooth spirit. On the nose it delivers intense notes of rich, juicy dried fruits and sticky toffee pudding. On the palate, indulge in hints of vanilla and a wash of caramel.
Industrial Strength Gin is the our take on a Navy Gin and a nod to the industrial heritage of our hometown, Burnley. It is an overproof twist on our signature gin – sweet lemon notes on the nose, with powerful juniper giving way to a smooth and lingering citrus finish.
Inspired by classic Chinese flavours including sichuan pepper, star anise, ginger and chrysanthemum, combined with more traditional botanicals. Buddha’s Hand and pomelo deliver delicate citrus notes. A well-balanced gin.
