This month’s Innovations Club cocktail is the Shaken Beets Martini. When creating the cocktail, we wanted to enhance the flavours of beetroot, mandarin and pear. The sweet sharpness of the fruit juices complement the earthy tones of the beetroot perfectly, making a refreshing and zingy cocktail that definitely contributes to your five a day.
Shake it up and get your groove on!
You will need:
2.5cm piece of fresh ginger, thinly sliced
50ml Batch Beet of a Different Drum Gin
25ml beetroot juice
50ml apple juice
15ml freshly squeezed lime juice
Rosemary sprig to garnish
Method
Put the sliced ginger into a cocktail shaker and muddle.
Fill the shaker with ice and add the gin and beetroot, apple and lime juices.
Shake until the shaker feels very cold.
Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a sprig of rosemary.
