Batch Has New Ownership — And We’re Just Getting Started
We know… this announcement is a little late. March feels like a lifetime ago, and the last five months have been absolutely non‑stop for us at Batch. Between events, tastings, trade visits, and meeting so many of our brilliant customers, both familiar faces and brand‑new ones – we’ve barely come up for air. But in the best possible way.
So, here it is officially: Batch Distillery has new ownership as of March 2026, and we couldn’t be more excited to finally share this chapter properly.
We are Jamie and Sharlene Butterfield, husband and wife, and proud Batch customers since 2018. After years of drinking Batch, shouting about Batch, and supporting Batch, stepping into the business felt like the most natural next step. This distillery has been part of our lives for so long, and now we’re honoured to be part of its future.
One thing we want to make absolutely clear: the quality you expect and the service you’re used to will stay exactly where they should be. We’re here to protect everything that makes Batch special, while bringing a few fresh ideas and plenty of energy along the way.
We’re thrilled to take our loyal customers with us, and hopefully welcome a few new faces into the Batch community as we grow.
Ryan is staying with us as Head Distiller. He’s the creative engine behind Batch, the mind behind so many of your favourite spirits, and someone who cares deeply about our customers. We’re genuinely lucky to have him on the team. Ryan has some fantastic ideas lined up, and we can’t wait to bring them to life together.
Many of you already appreciate Ryan’s work and we’re excited to see what we can create next.
