Hi. My name is Kan Zuo. I’m the owner and head mixologist at The Sign Lounge, Vienna. Here at The Sign we love experimenting with new drinks and ingredients! It inspires us to come up with fantastic new cocktails or to rework the classics. Batch Innovations provides me with new material and ideas every month.
Today I’m going to make a cocktail which uses Buddha’s Hand Gin. It has a range of Chinese botanicals including Buddha’s Hand, which has a wonderful earthy, citrus flavour, as well as Szechuan pepper and chrysanthemum. The cocktail I’m making is based on the Buddhist principle of ‘Love and Affection’. It combines Batch Buddhas Hand Gin with the distinctive Chinese spirit Baijiu.
