This has got to be the most requested gin by Batch fans! It’s one of our early recipes and we’re constantly getting asked when it will make a return. We have released it in limited quantities in the past and here it is, back for our Club members – welcome back Whinny!
Whinberry Gin
We took all of the best bits of a sloe gin, and made it unique and even better. Whinberry Gin uses our Signature recipe as a base and we cask-age it with ripe, juicy whinberries. This year’s crop were handpicked just for us by Phil, a local picker. We add a minimum of sugar syrup to the recipe, ensuring our gin remains rich and sharp with bold, fruity notes. Delicious!
In 2021 we rebranded Whinberry Gin and Whinny joined the likes of Rosie who features on our iconic Industrial Strength Gin bottle along with other gorgeous designs created by Bodie as seen on our Absinthe Gin, Don’t Bottle It Up Gin, Next Generation Gin, Jasmine Tea Gin and more.

What a pleasure to work on a classic. We have aged this gin with dried berries in the past but it was the first time I have made this gin with fresh whinberries. It took a little longe to age it to perfection this time but I got there in the end and I’m delighted to be bringing back a gin we get asked for time and time again”.
Perfect serve
We normally release this gin in autumn/winter but wanted to show off just how versatile of a sunny sipper this one really is. Try it with a lemonade pimms-style or drink it with a light tonic, wedge of lemon and fresh berries for a super summery serve!
